Empowerment Zone Associates
Tuesday, May 20th, 2008Greetings!
It’s with great pleasure I welcome you into the Stylish Attitudes family and the network of Empowerment Zone Associates. We’ve been working night and day, trying to keep up with you, your interest and the great opportunities that are before us. I want to invite you to remain active in community activities, by keeping up and keeping pace through your personal e-biz page.
Your e-biz page is a high-impact, high-value instrument and central to keeping us connected to our community updates and news as we go and grow forward. I’ll also be sharing tips and strategies on how to grow your businesses and other great resources. Any ideas or suggestions of interest, let me know.
Remember to share your e-biz card with others. Either for personal or professional use, it’s one of the most powerful and dynamic business cards on the internet! So, don’t be shy! It’s still one of the most effective high impact things we can do to grow our businesses and share with others information about our products and services.
UPCOMING EVENTS
June 28, 2008 – Ontario, California – Signature Empowerment Luncheon Event
We’re looking forward to meeting many of you at the June 28th luncheon event. Those of you who live out of area have been wonderful to refer the site’s links to friends and family members that do. Knowledge is power! And as friends looking out for each other, sharing the information with each other, I’m not only moved and inspired, but that makes you POWER BROKERS! Thank you so much for your commitment to each other and to the success of the event.
Many of you have inquired about bringing the event to your cities and communities. We hear you and are thrilled to know the interest! Prior to the launch of the luncheon series, we planned for success, wrote it down, included it in our business plan and projections, but in the spirit of my southern sisters, “yaw’ll are wearing me out!” Now, that’s by no means a complaint. Keep the interest letters and e-mails coming. We’re going to work this out!
Our member services coordinator is working ‘the adjustments’. You’ll be hearing from us shortly to facilitate the interest for your home town communities and organizations interested in hosting an event. “Chicago” you’re on the radar!” We’ll continue to keep you posted. Just watch the site’s event calendar for specifics as we take this awesome program across the country! Those of you also interested in being Community Coordinators . . next item . . .. . .
July 21-25 2008 – Sedona, Arizona- Entrepreneur’s Summit And Wellness Retreat
This event is slated to be the first annual entrepreneur’s summit and wellness retreat. Our workshop calendar is shaping up to include a great training boot-camp agenda for our emerging Empowerment Zone Associates interested in becoming Regional Community Coordinators. A great time for relaxation, but a serious time of getting our businesses in order is the focus. I told a reporter this week, “when the women come up on that mountain, they may bring a dream or idea for their business. When they leave, they’ll have crystallized it into a living, breathing, written document – a business plan, with measurable goals, projected outcomes, and systems of accountability . . . when I finish!”
To deliver on such a high standard and to create a meaningful experience both personally and professionally, registration seats are limited. Visit the registration link online and send us an e-mail if you’re interested in attending. We’ll respond back with the details and availability.
Some of you were asking if I’d be there during the event. Yes! I’m personally facilitating the sessions each day. And it’s been rumored that I would be wearing jeans and tennis shoes while I present – at this event, YES! For the professional presentation, I might and I stress MIGHT, dress the look up with pearls (although I seriously doubt it) It’s a time to really relax, strategize, engage, plan, encourage, laugh, cry, and cry and then laugh again!
I justify the attire, by modeling the first step in bringing awesome $1,000,000 ideas into reality – by being properly dressed for the occasion – COMFORTABLE. I don’t know about you, but I can’t be creative when I’m all bound up, worrying about my panty lines, bra straps, and my feet hurting, cause I didn’t use the good sense God gave me not to suffer standing in high-heels during my training sessions! Hey! I’m just keeping it real.
There will also be presenters to support the training experience to round things out. Either way, we’re going to have a great time. If you miss this event, the next window of opportunity is tentatively scheduled for July 2009.

SPOTLIGHT ON REGIONAL COMMUNITY COORDINATOR’S
Malori Lessey – California
Sandrea Tibbs – Alabama
Sue Battle-Arnold – Georgia
Let me take a moment to tell you about three very dynamic women. They personify WOW! and in their own rights, are movers and shakers! They rock and roll! They make things happen! I’ve known each of them for many years and it’s always a pleasure to be in their company. On a moment’s notice, they will meet me at the well. I’ve never claimed perfection; someone already walked that journey, but when I’m on my last atom of energy, connecting with these women, becomes a source of inspiration and encouragement for me. There’s nothing like having women in your circle who really know you ~ and can tell you about yourself – when and if you need to be told.
I love each of them dearly, and am always awestruck by the intensity with which they pursue excellence in their respective professional fields, attention to details and customer service. Not to mention they’re passion and love for their kids and family. Their personal stories and journeys are nothing less than inspirational. They have hearts of gold, and are women who are the embodiment of WOW!
They’ll be sharing more about themselves, what’s new in their communities, and success tips and strategies to help you start or grow your business. If you could see what I see them see, you’d only say, “WOW!” (read it again if you missed it).
Super stars in my circle, they’re major contributors to their communities. Their good deeds are too many to tell. In the months ahead as we spotlight events, I’ll share more. I can’t wait for you to meet them and have no doubt, you’ll be equally touched by these Champions of compassion and service and they’re effort in the momentum of our luncheon series, in their local communities. Committed to empowerment and change and members of the Empowerment Zone, they’re doing their part to fulfill the mission of connect, collaborate and grow.
Signing off for now.
Remember, “you are blessed and highly favored.”
~ Dee
