ENTREPRENEURIAL CONFERENCE FOR WOMEN PREPARES TO “WOW” ATTENDEES

Women of Wealth event to showcase seminars and programs for multi-cultural business owners

Los Angeles, CA February 25, 2008 – The Welcome Home Report’s 2008 Women of Wealth Empowerment Events, being held in cities across the country offers stellar seminars and programs to equip multi-cultural women with the tools and information needed to build wealth through entrepreneurial ventures, homeownership and community development.

The theme for the National two-day Women of Wealth event, also known as “The WoW Experience,” is Your Home. Your Wealth. You. The program is scheduled to premier October 2009 with a Friday evening VIP welcome reception and activities and continues on Saturday, with educational seminars, workshops and awards luncheon honoring women who personify the WoW experience because of their significant contribution to the community and setting a positive example for the next generation.

The event promises to showcase the impact that women have on commerce, homeownership and opportunities for future generations. Attendees are encouraged to bring plenty of business cards and come prepared to network with over 500 professionals in a relaxed atmosphere. The conference is open to attendees who are homeowners and entrepreneurs, or have a strong desire to become one or both.

“This event is a representation and expression of dynamic women coming together to connect, collaborate and grow together,” said Deborrah Gilbert, founder and executive director of the Moretta Community Development Corporation, the organization behind The Welcome Home Report, which has a presence on the Internet, as well as a popular television show that airs on Time Warner Cable networks throughout Southern California.

Gilbert, who also produces and hosts the television show, works tirelessly though the Moretta Community Development Corporation to move the financial literacy and homeownership education agenda further by developing the resources and relationships that help bridge the wealth gap, which results in increased business and homeownership opportunities. Her mantra is “Homeownership education today, vibrant communities tomorrow.”

The WoW event’s seminars and workshops will inspire and empower attendees and help them to understand the process of starting a business, what happens when people own homes and build wealth , how to write a business plan that will help to gain access to capital and how to start and grow a successful non-profit organization.

The event is being made possible through major sponsorships from Stylish Attitudes Magazine who also hosts the events online presentation.

The Moretta Community Development Corporation is a community-based organization that was established in 2006 for community outreach purposes, with an emphasis on creating pathways to valuable resources for individuals and families of low wealth and modest means. The organization’s goal is to successfully provide resources that directly impact families, neighborhoods and community infrastructure, through core programs and services in the areas of Financial Literacy, Credit Education, Pre- and Post-Homeownership Education, Business Economic and Housing Development, Women and Youth, Wellness and Safety and Cultural Diversity.
