OPPORTUNITY CALL FOR CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS

Moretta Economic Development Corporation announces opportunity call for conference presentations related to SMART entrepreneurship, home, business, health & wellness and sustainability.

AUGUSTA, GA - Moretta Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) recently announced it's opportunity and call for presenters to sustain the gains for SMART entrepreneurship and support local community-based businesses by builidng economically vibrant communities of choice.  The call supports the five year initiative and conference tour  aimed at women's entrepreneurship and economic development.

The national women's conference tour celebrates communty contributions and diverse perspectives from knowledge sharing around four central themes connected to sustainable entrepreneurship and economic development:

  • HOME
  • BUSINESS
  • HEALTH & WELLNESS
  • SUSTAINABILITY

Community-based entrepreneurs and subject matter experts understand the unique needs of their communities; from their own experiences, observations, lessons learned and implemented best practices. MEDC creates a platform for experts to connect, knowledge share and create opportunities for economic development and community well-being.

CALL FOR PRESENTERS. Presenters are invited to submit proposals for consideration.

Guidelines for Submission of Proposals:

Abstract

Please provide a brief abstract of your proposed presentation / session / workshop in no more than 200 words, typed, double spaced.

Workshop Description

Provide a 500 - 1000 word typed, double-spaced description of the proposed presentation.  Explain in sufficient detail to enable committee reviewers to understand what is proposed and why it should be included in the conference.   Workshops will be 75 minutes long, and some will allow for several presentations.  Indicate equipment needs (projector, laptop, internet access, chart paper, markerts, etc.).

Title Page and Biographical Summary

Include a page listing each presenter, with title and agency affiliation, and a brief biographical summary of no more than 200 words.  Include complete contact information for each presenter.

Availability

Indicate presenter availability and willingness to travel.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Proposals will be acknowledged within 45 days of receipt and selected presenters will be notified of acceptance of their proposals subject to: conference presentation goals, interest and needs of attendees, event date commitments and availability. Presenters may be asked to present in multiple localities. Honoraria and travel-related expenses will be discussed with selected presenters.
